Recertification

Certified professionals earned their professional credential and joined the ranks of over 4700 dedicated professionals committed to personal and professional advancement.

To complete recertification, applicants must achieve a minimum number of recertification credits from ongoing involvement in the field, continuing education and professional activities to maintain this respected designation. These requirements are available here.

To maintain a certification, applicants should complete the Application for Recertification and return it with the filing fee to the Association for Facilities Engineering online. Please include the courses, presentations or other professional activities completed. A certification is valid for three (3) years. Recertification applicants must submit their paperwork before their recertification date. Please contact (571) 203-7238 if you are unsure of your recertification date.

Recertification applicants who have retired from the plant engineering/facilities management profession prior to their recertification date, are not required to apply for recertification. As long as the CPMM remains retired, their certification will not expire. Applicants seeking the retired status should complete the recertification application and note their retirement and the CPMM status will be changed.
