5 Reasons why we Cannot Move to Proactive Maintenance and what to do about it

Most of us have experienced reactive maintenance at some level during our careers. What is frustrating is knowing how to move from current state to a proactive state. We want to be successful and not “try” something and it does not work. Failure is not an option.

We will discuss in this webinar about the barriers and how they can be overcome based on my over 35 years of experience in hundreds of facilities and industrial plants around the world.

When traveling on this journey you cannot afford to find yourself lost. You want your plan to show at first what I call “Shock and Awe” and then proceed to implement other elements of proactive maintenance. Do not misunderstand what I am saying because over 98% of these initiatives fail. We want your initiative to be successful.

Firestop as a Means of Mitigating Liability and Improving Noise Reduction

If you have a fire rated wall on your property, do you know if it will function as expected in the event of a fire? If you are adding a new property to your portfolio or changing tenants do you want to know if you are increasing your liability with these changes? Attend this presentation and you will walk away with a few new tricks that will help you do just that as we go over a few of the key firestop problems that we see on projects. We won't talk about doors, dampers, alarms or sprinklers because our focus is firestop.

Presenter:

Sharron started in the firestop industry in 1999 in product development with Hilti.  She has also worked with 3M and STI in the years to follow, as well as some of the smaller manufacturers.  She has been responsible for quality control on projects valued over $24 billion since 2005 which has been apx 18 million square feet of project space.  Since 2005 she has been focused primarily on hotel, convention, office, restaurant and residential projects but when she started in 1999 she was working on trouble shooting on everything from Nuclear power plant to sports stadiums, telecommunications and more.  This arsenal of past projects provides a unique opportunity to discuss firestop, resolve problems with a vast troubleshooting arsenal and creative solutions for value engineering.
