Valuable New Courses Lead To PE Development Hours
AFE has partnered with Power Management Concepts to offer members valuable online courses that can lead to a certificate, and credits toward PE license renewal.
The courses were developed with specific educational material to meet the needs of Professional Engineers who require PDHs to maintain licensure. They provide a comprehensive set of instructional materials, covering fundamental to in-depth knowledge of essential components.
They include, for example:
- Mission Critical Electrical Systems
- Standby Generators
- Fuel Systems
- Automatic Transfer Switches
- Static Transfer Switches
- Power Quality
- UPS Systems
- Data Center Cooling
- Raised Access Floors
- Fire Protection
- Safety
- Essential Knowledge Courses
- Facilities Engineering
- Reliability and Resiliency
All students are given an added value by receiving two Essential Knowledge courses with the purchase of their first course. The concepts in these Essential Knowledge courses are important for students to grasp in order for them to fully understand other related material.
Also, an AFE-approved certificate program is available to allow students to purchase all of the courses at a discounted price. After completing all the courses provided, the student will receive a certificate in the "Foundations of Mission Critical Infrastructure."
Power Management Concepts is a registered provider and sponsor for PEs' Professional Development Hours as approved by The State Education Department of New York and The National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) under the Registered Continuing Education Providers Program (RCEP) for all other states.
