Green Globes—How to earn your Individual Certification as a Green Globes Assessor or Green Globes Professional

Green Globes Assessors — highly experienced industry professionals, who complete extensive training and testing and are authorized and individually assigned by the GBI to perform on-site, third-party building assessments that can lead to the award of an official one through four Green Globes building rating/certification.

Green Globes Professionals — individuals, who receive training at the Green Globes user level who are qualified to complete online evaluations, offer project management and technical support to clients or owners undergoing the building assessment and certification process.

Benefits to becoming a Green Globes Assessor or Green Globes Professional

Guidelines for Selecting and Maintaining Glycol Based Heat Transfer Fluids

Glycol-water mixtures are commonly used to provide freeze protection in HVAC closed loop heating and cooling systems. A properly designed, commissioned, and maintained glycol system can provide 20 or more years of reliable service. However, improperly commissioned and maintained glycol systems can experience severe problems in as little as one to two years. Given the high initial cost of filling a glycol loop, and the even higher cost of the resulting problems if a glycol loop goes "bad," it is important to understand how to properly select and maintain a glycol system.
