2012 AFE Chapter Awards Receptions

Register for Facilities America’s annual networking event! The 2012 Chapter Awards reception is an evening of connecting with colleagues, peers and leaders in the profession as AFE honors outstanding Chapter achievements. Guest rates are available.

CHAPTER OF THE YEAR AWARD
AFE Chapter of the Year Award recognizes Chapters that present an outstanding example of representing the mission and value proposition of AFE through its leadership development, compliance with AFE Chapter Guidelines, and provision of programs, products and services that help to enhance the overall AFE membership experience. AFE Regional Vice Presidents are encouraged to submit Chapter nominations by completing the nominee submission process and including examples of the nominated Chapter's supporting work and programs.

BEST COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD
AFE recognizes Chapters for making a positive difference in the communities they serve. The Best Community Service Award recognizes Chapters for developing and implementing outreach and community service programs that address specific local social, ecological, our economical needs. Award recipients in this category must complete the nominee submission process and include examples of the nominated Chapter’s outreach programs and program results.

BEST PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AWARD
AFE recognizes local Chapters for their innovative, creative, and informative approached to providing professional development opportunities. The Best Professional Development Award is granted to the Chapter whose professional development program reflects an outstanding best practice for delivering trainings and other programs that address the development needs of engineering and maintenance professionals. Award recipients in this category must complete the nominee submission process and include program calendar of events, handouts, synopsis, Web link, and/or marketing samples.

BEST NEWSLETTER AWARD
AFE recognizes local Chapters for their innovative, creative, and informative approached to the development and distribution of Chapter newsletters. The Best Newsletter Award is granted to the Chapter whose newsletter (print or electronic) reflects an outstanding best practice for chapter communications which can be easily duplicated by other chapters. Award recipients in this category must complete the nominee submission process and include at least four examples of the Chapter’s newsletter.

BEST MEMBERSHIP MARKETING (RECRUITMENT & RETENTION) AWARD
AFE recognizes local chapters who demonstrate outstanding practices for promoting the value of membership in AFE and their local chapter. Award recipients in this category must complete the nominee submission process and demonstrate the nominee’s strategy, print, web or other outreach samples, and results in member growth or participation.

CHAPTER MEMBER OF THE YEAR AWARD
AFE recognizes local chapter members who demonstrate outstanding support of AFE and Chapter activities through volunteerism, sponsorship, and/or member outreach. Chapter Member of the Year reflects AFE’s the mission and value proposition and works to enhance the overall membership experience within their local chapter. Award recipients in this category must complete the nominee submission process and include examples of the nominee’s support of Chapter programs, outreach and events.

RISING STAR AWARD
AFE recognizes new members and/or students and rising professionals who demonstrate respect for AFE’s mission and a passion for the engineering and maintenance profession and its contributions to society as demonstrated by his/her chapter participation including community outreach, volunteerism and educational course work. The award recipient will receive a stipend up to $500 towards Facilities America attendance (travel and housing expenses) as AFE's contribution to his/her future career success.
