Company Seeks Providers of Facility Engineering Services
Alcatel-Lucent is looking for providers of facility engineering services. Interested parties must be able to tell the company about their capabilities in these areas:
- Building systems: general building structure, design, OSHA compliance and safety; HVAC; fire suppression (FM200 gas, FE-227 gas, pre-action sprinklers and wet sprinklers); fire detection (Very Early Smoke Detection or VESDA); security (cameras, alarms, etc.); alarm monitoring and reporting; and control and/or energy management.
- Power systems: AC Power (panelboards, switchgear, transformers, etc.); automatic transfer switches; generators; lighting; DC power plants (batteries, rectifiers, etc.); DC power cabling and distribution; AC-to-DC inverters; DC-to-DC converters; UPS power systems; emergency power off
- Telecommunications environment infrastructure: raised floors; floor space management and equipment anchoring; ladder rack and ironwork; cable management; fiber trough; grounding and lightning protection.
- OSHA standards
Interested parties are not required to have all of the capabilities or skill sets listed, but they should indicate their compliance and level of experience for each.
Ideally, suppliers will have nationwide capabilities, but regional or local will be considered.
