AFE Announces Virtual Review Class Dates for Certified Plant Engineer (CPE) Certification
HERNDON, VA March 22, 2010 The Association for Facilities Engineering (AFE) has announced dates for its upcoming virtual Certified Plant Engineer (CPE) certification virtual reviews classes. The virtual classes are an extended review of the material in the CPE Review Pack, and provide double the instruction time of the week long classroom review. The review takes place over a longer period of time, allowing working professionals to dedicate the appropriate time to prepare.
The class will be led by instructor Jim Taylor of Machinery Management Solutions. Each session will include a review of material to complete the sample problems listed in the book. All participants must complete the CPE application packet with employment verification to be eligible for the exam. The fee to participate is $2400 for non-members, $2000 for AFE members for 4 modules. The fee for one module is $600 for non-member, $500 for AFE members. The fee includes an application packet, exam fee, and the CPE Review Pack.
Designed to review material by module, the 2010 CPE Virtual Review allows participants to take module exams. Classes meet Weekly on Wednesdays from noon to 2 pm Eastern time.
The upcoming classes are:
- Virtual CPE Mechanical Engineering and HVAC – April 21 to May 19
- Virtual CPE Civil Engineering, Management and Economics - June 2 to June 30
- Virtual CPE Environmental Engineering, OSHA Safety, Maintenance - July 14 to August 11
