One of the challenges in project and contract management is gathering requirements and assuring that you have apples-to-apples bids to properly evaluate proposals. Creating a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) can improve your project outcomes. This AFE presentation will review some of the basics, provide guidelines for creating a WBS and show how it can be used to develop your scope of work and bid sheets.
PRESENTER: Art Karros PE, CPE serves Lockheed Martin as facilities engineer and a construction project manager. He has managed projects from small office renovations, to manufacturing spaces and electrical substations. He is a member of AFE, a CPE, and an instructor for the CPE exam review. Art received his MBA from West Chester University and is presently working on obtaining a master’s degree in Supply Chain Management from Penn State University.
