ECAM+ Download and Registration Page
ECAM+ is public domain software that you can download and use at no cost. Simply register here with AFE and we will provide access to the software, user guides, and data import specifications. In addition, AFE offers training as a Certified Facilities Energy Analyst (CFEA), certification using ECAM+ not offered anywhere.
Designed for Building Owners, Energy Managers, Energy Consultants, Facility Managers, and Energy Efficiency Program Managers. Those who are invested in bringing about positive change to a building's operations for real, quantitative, reportable savings.
ECAM+ is a Microsoft Excel-based tool that facilitates the examination of energy information from buildings, and ultimately reduces the time spent analyzing utility meter data and system operational data. Starting from simple time-series data, ECAM+ automates a wide array of charting and analysis functionality.

THE AFE — NORTHWRITE — & BONNNEVILLE POWER PARTNERSHIP for the Public Domain
ECAM+ (Energy Charting and Metrics) Tool is an add-on for Microsoft Excel which was developed to facilitate analysis of data from building (energy and other data). The tool makes extensive use of Excel pivot tables. Some key features of ECAM+ include: creation of charts to help re-tuning, creation of schedules and day-type information to time series data; filtering data from months, years, days, day-type, day of week, day of month, occupancy, temperature binned weather data, pre/post comparisons after retrofits or retro-commissioning; normalizing data and creating metrics based on consumption or equipment; and the creation of various load profiles or scatter charts for data selected by the user.
Any tools provided, including ECAM+, are provided 'as-is,' and are not warranted for any particular purpose. Many people and organizations have found them useful, and we do not know of calculation issues. There are minor and avoidable software issues that are documented in the User Guide. Should you run into any issues with these tools, we would like to hear about them so that we can continue to improve the tools.
FAST-X The (F)acility (A)ctual (S)avings (T)est
FAST-X is AFE's new energy savings certification methodology for buildings.
Unlike Energy Star® and the USGBC's LEED® programs, any building can receive a FAST-X certification. Paper mills, tobacco manufacturers, and overall industrial plants trying to certify now have a tool and a method for certification. As you may know it is not possible to generate an EnergyStar score for a number of industrial building types. In addition, a significant number of International projects are not eligible for the EnergyStar® rating. The FAST-X program allows you and your building to be credited for improvement, not just relative status.
However, FAST-X works in harmony with ASHRAE's Procedures For Commercial Building Energy Audits, along with helping you to maintain your EnergyStar® and LEED® scores.
