Mike also helped bring valuable learning opportunities to chapter members by hosting numerous outstanding facility tours. These tours provided members with opportunities to see different operations firsthand, learn from industry professionals, and share knowledge with fellow AFE members. Among the facilities he helped arrange tours of were Little Leaf Farms and Ken’s Foods.
Perhaps one of Mike’s most lasting contributions has been his willingness to share his experience with others. He has provided valuable mentoring and guidance to current chapter officers and Board of Directors members, helping to pass along knowledge and institutional experience while supporting the next generation of chapter leadership.
With more than 20 years of AFE membership and service, Mike’s contributions have had a lasting impact on Chapter 74 Worcester. The AFE CH74 Distinguished Service Award recognizes not only his years of leadership, but also his continued dedication to the chapter, its members, and the engineering and facilities management profession.
