This is the official examination to earn the Certified Professional Maintenance Manager (CPMM) credential. Registration for this exam does not include access the CPMM review course. Candidates who apply to take this exam acknowledge that this registration represents a self-study examination program.
To earn the Certified Professional Maintenance Manager (CPMM) credential, a candidate must achieve a passing score on the CPMM Exam. The CPMM Exam is offered four times each calendar year. To sit for the CPMM Exam, a candidate must either: (1) meet the CPMM professional experience requirements – i.e. two years of maintenance management experience or four years of overall work experience; or (2) pass the CPMM Review Course – i.e. live review course (LRC) or Online Review Course (ORC). The CPMM Exam is administered through the Exam Builder portal and does not require a proctor.
Sitting for the CPMM Exam involves submitting an application that includes verification of the candidate’s work history. It may take up to ten days to process a candidate’s application. Additionally, all examination fees must be paid before the candidate can receive her or his digital certificate and badge signifying successful attainment of the credential. The examination fee includes the latest edition of the CPMM Review Pack.
AFE will host its first annual leadership retreat Friday, April 8th – Saturday, April 9th. The retreat will be a hybrid event hosted in-person at the Hyatt Place Chicago South – University / Medical Center and live streamed via the AFE virtual conference platform powered by TradeWing. Bringing the AFE House of Delegates (HoD) together with key partners from the AFE Industry Advisory Council (AIAC) and its nine regional advisory councils (RACs), the purpose of the AFE Insight Weekend (AFE Insight 2022 | #AFEInsight2022) is to review, refine and recommit the leadership of the association to the implementation of the AFE Strategic Plan. In addition to sessions closed to AFE leadership, AFE Insight 2022 will provide strategic partners the opportunity to interact directly with various decision-makers from across the association. AFE Insight 2022 will also offer professional development sessions that provide organizational development insights but also continuing education credits (AECs). There will be no fee to attend this event. All AFE volunteer leaders will be invited and encouraged to participate either in-person or remotely.
Most facilities have a building automation system (BAS), but few perform as intended. In this webinar, we will explore building automation systems and how to optimize them for peak operation in the real world. The primary goal of the modern BAS is to control the building’s HVAC system to deliver a comfortable, consistent indoor environment while at the same time optimizing energy consumption. However, many of today’s building automation systems do not operate as intended and fall short of this goal.
