How do I qualify?

Eligibility may be based on professional experience, education, or a combination of both:

CPS: High school diploma plus professional or supervisory experience.
CPMM: Relevant experience, a related bachelor’s degree, or a combination of experience and higher education.
CPE: A related bachelor’s degree plus four years of experience, or a high school diploma plus eight years of experience.

Is my AFE credential active for life?

AFE credentials must be renewed every three years and requires continuing education CEUs.

CPS and CPMM: 5 CEUs — 3 employment CEUs and 2 continuing education CEUs.
CPE: 8 CEUs — 4 employment CEUs and 4 continuing education CEUs.

AFE offers different opportunities to earn CEUs to help maintain your credential.

AFE webinars that are free for members. You can still register as a non-member for a fee.
Share your expertise with AFE! Write an article that can be published on our website to earn CEU.
Some chapter events are worth CEU credit. Not sure if CEU is offered for an event you're attending? Just ask!
