LIMITED to 50 guests. This is an intimate tour of the SC Ports and the Wando Welch Terminal lead by AFE Chapter 187 and Butch Weber, VP, Engineering and Facilities for the South Carolina Ports Authority. We will be utilizing a double decker bus to move around the Port, so numbers are limited to attend. The tour will give an inside look at the logistics and operations that run one of the busiest port terminals in the South East. You won‘t want to miss this tour! Join us for a guided tour of the award-winning R.W. Kern Center at Hampshire College — one of the most environmentally advanced academic buildings in the country.

Certified under the Living Building Challenge (LBC) in 2018, the 16,940-square-foot Kern Center was designed to be good for both people and the planet. This tour will explore what it takes to create a building that operates within the natural limits of its site while supporting occupant health, comfort, and long-term resilience.
